Hey guys! I'm Tori and I am the author of this blog page.
I was born in Chicago and have lived there my whole life. Currently, I am away from my city studying public relations as a junior at the University of Rhode Island.
The transition from a Midwestern city kid to a college student living down the block from the rich & (maybe) famous at a beach house in Narragansett, RI was an interesting one let me tell you.
I've always been interested in the street murals and graffiti around me. Last year, I was taking a course on the different 'cultures' of writing and decided to focus one of my projects on the street art of Chicago. I wrote a proposal to a museum, crafted a press release, created a museum floor plan, designed a brochure, made an illustrated checklist of artwork, and created a bus shelter poster...all about the street art of Chicago! I really enjoyed my research and putting together several documents on this topic. That is why I decided to create this blog.
I'm hoping that writing about the underground art and artists from Chicago will both educate and entertain my readers as well as ease my acute nostalgia.

I like fashion, music, scary movies, traveling, caffeine, and Marlon Brando.

“Art is an evolutionary act. The shape of art and its role in society is constantly changing. At no point is art static. There are no rules.”
